Competing teams from Boracay and Manila will see action here for the 2nd Beach Ultimate/Frisbee Tournament as part of the 39th Paraw Regatta Festival celebration.

The game of flying discs will be played on February 19 and 20 at the Joe III Garden, formerly Villa Regatta, in Arevalo district.

Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog said the city’s hosting of events such as this will mean a lot for tourism and will likewise boost the sports industry.

The beach ultimate is supported by the Iloilo City Sports Council, under the leadership of Vice Mayor Jose Espinosa III.

Beach Ultimate or Frisbee as commonly known is one of the exciting beach sports that are gaining popularity in the world. The game is a combination of Frisbee and football merged into one.

This is being played by celebrities such as Derek Ramsay of ABS CBN and continues to have tournaments every summer in Boracay Island, Aklan.
